President of Peace Watch Ghana, Diana Nyonkopah Daniels, has called on President John Dramani Mahama to prioritise the development of the Kumasi–Accra Expressway.
Speaking on the Ghana Nti Morning Show, Diana Nyonkopah Daniels urged the government to commit about US$2 billion to the project to help improve transportation, reduce travel time and promote economic development along the corridor.
She stressed the importance of upgrading the road into a modern expressway, saying the project would be a major infrastructure investment for the country.
She therefore appealed to President Mahama to take the necessary steps to ensure that the Kumasi–Accra Expressway project receives the needed attention and funding.
