DIANA NYONKOPAH DANIELS COMMENDS MAHAMA FOR NOT PRIORITISING NATIONAL CATHEDRAL, CALLS FOR YOUTH JOB CREATION
President of Peace Watch Ghana, Diana Nyonkopah Daniels, has commended President John Dramani Mahama for not prioritising the construction of the National Cathedral project. Speaking on the issue, she said she supports the President’s decision 100 percent, stressing that government should focus its resources on addressing the pressing needs of Ghanaians. According to her, greater attention should be given to areas such as job creation, education, healthcare, roads and other essential national development projects. Diana Nyonkopah Daniels also appealed to the Ghana Christian Council to consider initiatives that can create employment and sustainable opportunities for the youth. She urged Christian leaders and organisations to support programmes that will equip young people with skills and provide them with opportunities to become economically independent. She maintained that creating jobs for the youth should be a shared responsibility involving government, religious organisations, the private sector and other stakeholders.
