NANA NHYIRABA KWABENA ASIRIFI CRITICISES MUSTAPHA GBANDE OVER CALL FOR NDC APOLOGY TO NPP
Nana Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi of the Ghana Nti Morning Show has criticised Mustapha Gbande, Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), over his recent comments on the National Cathedral controversy.
Nana Nhyiraba said some NDC appointees make comments that appear supportive of the party, while others make statements that, in his view, could potentially create challenges for the NDC and contribute to the party's return to opposition.
His comments follow a statement by Mustapha Gbande that if investigations establish that the NDC was wrong in its allegations against the previous New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration over the National Cathedral, the party should collectively apologise to the NPP and the former government.
Mustapha Gbande said the party should first establish the facts through a proper investigation before reaching any conclusion.
Nana Nhyiraba, however, questioned the call for an apology and emphasised the need for transparency, accountability and a thorough investigation to establish the facts surrounding the National Cathedral controversy.
