NANA NHYIRABA KWABENA ASIRIFI CHALLENGES MARKET WOMEN OVER CLAIMS OF POLITICAL NEGLECT
Nana Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi has challenged comments by some market women who claim they have been neglected after supporting or voting for the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He questioned the basis of such claims, stressing that development and government support should not be determined solely by which political party individuals voted for. Nana Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi also cautioned Ghanaians against making political considerations the basis for their personal and family responsibilities. He encouraged parents to invest in their children's education and urged students to take their studies seriously, emphasizing that education remains an important pathway to a better future. He further questioned claims that the NDC received overwhelming support from every section of the population, noting that the 2024 presidential election involved millions of votes across different political parties. He therefore called for a broader discussion on governance, development and accountability, rather than focusing solely on partisan voting patterns. According to him, citizens should expect governments to provide development and services based on national needs, irrespective of their political affiliation or voting choices.
