GPRTU SIGNALS POSSIBLE TRANSPORT FARE INCREASE AMID RISING FUEL PRICES
Deputy Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU), Mr. Samuel Amoah, has indicated that commuters should prepare for a possible increase in transport fares following the recent rise in fuel prices.
Speaking to Nana Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi, Mr. Amoah was asked whether the increase in fuel prices would translate into higher transport fares from tomorrow.
The discussion focused on the concerns of commercial transport operators and the potential impact of rising fuel costs on commuters across the country.
Mr. Amoah explained the position of the GPRTU and the factors being considered in determining any adjustment to transport fares.
Commuters have therefore been urged to pay attention to official communication from the GPRTU regarding any approved changes in transport fares.
