NANA NHYIRABA KWABENA ASIRIFI CHALLENGES KOFORIDUA TRADITIONAL COUNCIL OVER MTN POLE DISPUTE
Nana Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi has challenged the position of the Koforidua Traditional Council regarding the installation of an MTN telecommunications pole intended to improve network services for residents in the area.
He questioned why traditional authorities would oppose or restrict a development project aimed at providing improved telecommunications services and benefiting the people of Koforidua.
According to Nana Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi, development should not be viewed primarily through the lens of political affiliation, especially when a project is intended to serve the broader interests of residents.
He noted that whether an area is considered a stronghold of the NDC or NPP should not determine whether its people receive development.
Nana Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi therefore called on political parties and traditional authorities to put the interests of citizens ahead of partisan considerations.
He stressed that if any political party or government neglects development in a particular community, the priority should be to address the situation and ensure that the people receive the infrastructure and services they need.
He urged stakeholders in Koforidua to engage constructively with MTN and other relevant institutions to find a solution that protects the interests of the Traditional Council while also ensuring improved network services for residents.
