Security Analyst Urges Customs Leadership Shake-Up Amid Drug Trafficking Concerns
Security Analyst Mr. Andrews Asiedu Tetteh has called for accountability within the Customs Division over concerns about illegal drugs entering the country. He argued that the leadership of Customs should either resign or be removed by the government if investigations establish failures that allowed narcotics to enter Ghana. According to him, decisive action would demonstrate Ghana’s commitment to tackling drug trafficking and send a strong message to the international community about the country’s resolve to protect its borders. Mr. Andrews Asiedu Tetteh stressed the need for stronger border controls, effective oversight and accountability in the fight against drug trafficking.
