NHYIRABA KWABENA ASIRIFI CALLS ON SAMMY GYAMFI TO CLARIFY ASIAMAH AND ARMAH-KOFI BUAH’S EXIT FROM GOLDBOD BOARD

Journalist Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi has called on GoldBod Chief Executive Officer Sammy Gyamfi to provide further clarification on the decision by Bank of Ghana Governor Dr. Johnson Asiamah and Lands and Natural Resources Minister Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah to cease serving personally on the GoldBod Board. Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi questioned the circumstances surrounding the changes and said the public deserves a clear explanation regarding the reasons behind the two officials’ exit from the board. He therefore urged Sammy Gyamfi, as the Chief Executive Officer of GoldBod, to come out and explain the matter to the public to help address concerns and prevent speculation. The Journalist stressed the importance of transparency and accountability in the management of GoldBod, particularly because of its role in Ghana’s gold-trading sector. GoldBod has previously indicated that Dr. Asiamah nominated Second Deputy Governor Matilda Asante-Asiedu .
