MICHAEL ADU-GYAMFI OPPOSES CALLS FOR STATE OF EMERGENCY TO ADDRESS ILLEGAL MINING
Small-scale mining operator Michael Adu-Gyamfi has expressed his opposition to calls for the declaration of a state of emergency as a solution to Ghana’s illegal mining challenges.
Speaking to Journalist Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi, he argued that the country should focus on practical measures to address illegal mining while protecting the environment.
He stressed that the mining sector involves various stakeholders and called for a collaborative approach to dealing with the challenges facing the industry.
