ADU-GYAMFI: ‘WE ARE ALL PART OF THE MINING SECTOR’ AS GALAMSEY DEBATE CONTINUES.
Small-scale mining operator Michael Adu-Gyamfi has called for broader stakeholder participation in efforts to address Ghana’s illegal-mining challenges. Speaking with Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi, he maintained that stakeholders should work together to promote responsible and sustainable mining practices and protect the country’s water bodies and forest reserves. He further expressed his position that declaring a state of emergency should not be the main approach to addressing the problem, arguing instead for practical and sustainable interventions within the mining sector.
