KUMASI TRADERS: WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU WANT? — JOURNALIST NHYIRABA KWABENA ASIRIFI

Journalist Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi has questioned Kumasi traders who say they miss Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and are calling for his return. According to him, the traders should explain what they expected Dr. Bawumia to do differently, particularly regarding the Electronic Transfer Levy (E-Levy), after he had indicated that it could not simply be scrapped. He questioned why some traders are now calling for Dr. Bawumia again while expressing dissatisfaction over policies associated with his time in government. “Kumasi traders, what exactly do you want? You say you miss Dr. Bawumia, yet he told us he couldn’t scrap the E-Levy. If he had been elected, what would he have done differently? Now, you’re calling for him again,” Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi said.
