SAVE A SCHOLAR FOUNDATION SUPPORTS BECE GRADUATES WITH MATTRESSES AND EDUCATIONAL ITEMS

The Save a Scholar Foundation, led by Hon. Emmanuel Nii Commey, an NDC Constituency Executive Member hopeful, has supported BECE graduates who are preparing to continue their education at the Senior High School level. The initiative saw the distribution of 550 mattresses and 250 chop boxes to beneficiaries to help ease some of the financial burden associated with transitioning from basic education to SHS. According to Hon. Emmanuel Nii Commey, the foundation has been supporting BECE graduates for the past four years as part of its commitment to promoting education and helping students from less-resourced backgrounds. He disclosed that in 2025, the foundation supported 53 BECE graduates with mattresses and chop boxes as they prepared to further their education. Hon. Nii Commey further revealed that 10 students are currently benefiting from scholarship support, covering their educational needs as they continue their studies. He said the foundation remains committed to investing in the education of young people and encouraging BECE graduates to pursue their academic aspirations despite financial challenges. The initiative forms part of efforts by the Save a Scholar Foundation to support students and contribute to the development of education within the community. The beneficiaries and their families expressed appreciation for the support, saying the items would help them prepare adequately for their SHS education.
