ANY MAN OF GOD WHO GIVES PROPHECIES ON POLITICS AND FOOTBALL IS NOT CALLED BY GOD — APOSTLE JOSEPH ADDAE MUNUKUM.
Apostle Joseph Addae Munukum has stated that any man of God who gives prophecies concerning politics and football is not called by God.
According to him, the practice of what he described as “acrobatic prophecies” has contributed to divisions among pastors in Ghana, particularly over political and football-related prophecies.
He further stated that any man of God who engages in such practices is committing a sin. He therefore cautioned pastors to emulate Jesus Christ and refrain from relying solely on their own knowledge and understanding.
Apostle Munukum argued that there is no prophecy concerning football or politics recorded in the Bible. He therefore questioned the basis on which some pastors make predictions about political and football-related events.
He noted that some Ghanaian pastors do not prophesy but rather make predictions, which he believes they sometimes do for fame and public recognition.
The Apostle also advised women seeking marriage to involve their parents rather than making pastors the primary authority in their marital affairs.
According to him, pastors have no direct role in marriage, and he expressed concern that some married women give their pastors greater honour and respect than they give to their own husbands.
He urged Christians, particularly pastors, to follow the example of Christ and ensure that their teachings and actions are guided by the principles of Scripture rather than personal knowledge, predictions, or the pursuit of fame.
He said all these during an interview with Paul Napoleon Agyeman (Host) on Score Board - ICADTV .
