BREAKING: 30-YEAR-OLD MAN ALLEGEDLY CAUGHT STEALING FARM PRODUCE PARADED THROUGH BEGORO
Begoro, Eastern Region — A 30-year-old man has allegedly been caught stealing plantain, cassava and other foodstuffs at Begoro Christom in the Fanteakwa North District of the Eastern Region. The suspect was reportedly apprehended by the owner of the farm and some residents after he was allegedly found with the farm produce believed to have been stolen. Following the arrest, the suspect was reportedly walked through parts of the Begoro township by the owner of the foodstuffs. Sources say the action was intended to help identify individuals to whom the suspect allegedly sold some of the stolen produce. The incident attracted a large crowd, with residents gathering to witness the development. While some residents have condemned the alleged theft, describing the situation as a growing concern in the area, others have cautioned against taking the law into their own hands. They have instead called on the police to take over the matter, conduct proper investigations and, where appropriate, prosecute the suspect through the established legal process. It remains unclear whether the suspect has since been handed over to the Begoro Police for further investigation. *Report by: Osofoba Enoch | Holy FM |, Eastern Region*
